Gear of Wars Tips

Expert, I doubt it. Pretty good, I would say so. Ok so some quick tips.

Active Reload is the best tip I can give you. I think it’s like 5x the damage when you are using it.

Machine Gun:
Machine Gun is good for long range obviously. If you catch a guy out in the open with no immediate cover available you can take him down pretty easily with head/upper body shots. And with active reload this can make for a very deadly weapon.

Chainsaw:
Now the chainsaw is a good and a bad thing. The pros of the thing are a one hit kill, has what seems like an 8 foot wing span that can grab people around corners and even when they dive away from you, and of course the bloodiest way to kill somebody. The cons are that in online play the chainsaw takes waaayyy to long to kill somebody if he has teammates around him. Since you can't die while chainsawing somebody, they just wait with a shotgun next to you and blow you into pieces after you are done. Or they chainsaw you right back. So the chainsaw is a perfect weapon for flanking and catching people by surprise.
All that said, you can still win a battle verse a shotgun up close. What you don't want to do is just run in a hold down b. You want to be blind firing at him (not using the left trigger to bring up the cross hairs), you won't very accurate but you aren't actually trying to kill him that way. You want to get close enough where the chainsaw will lock onto him but the danger is the shotgun can deliver a fatal blow in 1 or 2 hits at that range. So you want to time pressing B in between shotgun firing. As long as you weren't stunned or chainsaw de-revved by the shotgun you should grab him with the saw leaving him screaming, "WHAT THE F**K I SHOT HIM"(I know from experience on both ends). So the moral is chainsaw the unsuspecting and between shots in a one on one.

Shotgun:
Once again active reload is pretty key. With active reload you can do a lot of damage to your enemy from a good distance away. But where it is really deadly is up close. There are two methods of fighting up close: blind firing and quick aiming. Blind Firing is what I prefer and that is where you are in third person just moving your guy to aim the best you can at the opponent. Quick aiming, which promo does sometimes, is where you quickly pull the left trigger to get the half second of aiming towards your target. Both allow you to fire as fast as the shotgun does but quick aiming slows your character down.

Ok, so you are in a shotgun fight, what do you do? Well you want to use a combination of circle fighting and jumping to get your opponent. What I mean by circle fighting is you and your opponents are basically running around in a circle trying to get the one lucky fatal shot in. The diving technique is also helpful to avoid your opponent’s shots and to sneak up on him quickly. On method is to role right up to him and blow him away in 1 shot. This is a good method if you catch the guy off guard a little. However, the opponent has the advantage in this situation because he can take the first shot, which if it lands will kill you.

The shotguns melee attack is also pretty useful. If you land a clean shotgun hit from close range but don’t kill your opponent, he will be very weak and this is where melee comes in. One shot and a quick melee will bring the enemy to his knees before he can pull the trigger again. But be careful though, if you miss it will take you some time to reorient yourself to the enemy. And if you enemy has continued to move in a circle he will no be at your back leaving you in pieces very soon.

That is all I have time to write now. I will keep posting on things such as, Sniper tips, Pistol tips, Grenade tips, knowing when to run, and finishing a downed enemy, and the advantages of being the host. Yeah, I wrote like a page in Word, whatevs I was bored.

Call of Duty 4 Tips

For the beginner/all purpose fighter

Whether you are just starting, or want a class to fall back to when the going gets rough and nothing seems to be working, this is what we recommend:

Weapon: M16 w/best scope or sight your level allows

Perk 1: Special Grenades X 3 OR RPG X 2

Perk 2: Stopping Power

Perk 3: Deep Impact

The great thing about this custom class is that it is available to anyone who can create a class. The M16 is a powerful weapon to begin with, but with the addition of Stopping Power can kill most anyone with a single burst. The scope will allow you to see targets that are peeking out from behind cover, with Deep Impact giving you the ability to pierce the cover and finish them off. As for the final perk, it's really up to you if you want to use special grenades or RPGs--it depends on whether or not you want to be effective against troops or the potential enemy helicopter.

For the aggressor

Our favorite combination of weapons and perks for levels where we want to be aggressive is the following:

Weapon: Scorpion w/red dot sight attachment

Perk 1: Special Grenades X 3 (Stun)

Perk 2: Stopping Power

Perk 3: Martyrdom

Most people would pick the Uzi because it has a higher rate of fire, but the Scorpion is a great weapon because its accuracy is decent (seriously, you can kill people from across the map with a red dot sight). Also, the increased damage from Stopping Power will more than make up for the lower rate of fire, allowing you to kill most any opponent with only a few rounds. Use the stun grenades with reckless abandon, throwing them into every room before you enter. Martyrdom completes the package because well, you're going to die a lot, and probably close to your opponent, so why not drop a grenade and try to take them with you?

Here are a pair of high level classes that GV Nelson uses:

Custom Class I

Weapon: G36C with red dot sight & AK-47 with red dot sight

Perk 1: Special Grenades X 3

Perk 2: Overkill (allows Nelson to carry both the G3 and the AK-47)

Perk 3: Deep Impact

This class allows Nelson to be both accurate at long range and have a weapon that can put out powerful, automatic fire when the situation calls for it.

Custom Class II

Weapon: R700 & G36C

Perk 1: Overkill (allows Nelson to carry both the G3 and the R700)

Perk 2: Bandolier

Perk 3: Iron Lung

This combination of perks makes Nelson's class great for both sniping and taking out the occasional soldier who comes up on his position. The bandoliers insure that he won't run out of ammo, and the Iron Lung gives him the ability to hold his breath for prolonged periods of time. The G3 allows Nelson to have a long to medium ranged weapon even after he runs out of sniper ammunition.

These are the first of what will hopefully be many multiplayer tip blogs. We'll try to gather more class combinations from around the office but are also interested in finding out what combinations work best for you? PM us with your favorite class combinations and a short description of why they are awesome.

Gran Turismo 4 Tips

Gran Turismo 4 cheat codes from PS2 Cheats. Here you will find the latest and most popular cheat codes, hints and tips for Playstation 2 (PS2) games. Whatever you're looking for, it can all be found here. Check back often to find New cheats for PS2 Gran Turismo 4 Cheats and Codes Playstation 2 GRAN TURISMO 4.

Easter Egg: Forest Fire
On Apricot Hill, go reverse. It's on the 2nd turn before you start going down
hill. Look way over on the mountain side, look striaght. On the side of the
mountain there is grayish, what appears to be smoke coming up and blowing
towards the right.

Hint: Best Starting Car
To smoke the competition at the beginning of the game purchase the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution GSR '92, on sale in the Used Car Showroom I.

Unlock Audi Nuvolari Quattro
Notice that after you have completed 25% of the game, you will reveive a new car, like if you've just finished a tournament. That car is the Audi Nuvolari Quattro.

Hint: Fast Racing For Fast Profit
Start out with any vehicle you like. When you make enough money to make your vehicle faster using the beginner hall, move over the the special conditions Hall. Defeat the first race (Rally d'Umbria) and you will receive a Cadillac CIEN '02. Get more money and put more power into your Cadillac CIEN '02 (you won't have to if you don't want to). The CIEN will gain almost 1000+ HP. Go to the second race with the CEIN in the Special Conditions Hall called Rally d'Capri. After you win that race you will get a Toyota RSC Rally Raid Car '02
which you can sell for more than $230,000+. Keep racing that race and keep making the money.

To obtain over 260,000 credits easily just take your best car and take it into
the Rally d'Capri easy in the Special Conditions hall. Once you obtain the car
sell it and you get over 260,000 credits. You can repeat this over and over and soon enough you should be able to afford anything you want.

Enter the European Hall event 1000 Miles! I recommend either the Ginetta G4 '64 (won from Beginner Lightweight K Cup) or the Chevelle SS 454 '70 (won from American Muscle Car Championship). Enter the Cote d'Azur race (I think the last one works just the same). Make sure your car's HP is near or above 200. Put it on B-spec, 5-Push, overtake, 3x speed. Come back after a couple hours (this works best if you leave it overnight). You should have won the race, along with 150,000 credits! This can also be done with the championship race, which is 4 races. 4 races times 150,000 credits plus 300,000 credit prize equals 900,000 credits. The prize car is crappy, but who cares, you have 900,000 credits from doing nothing!

Easter Egg: Tall, Tall Tree
On Trail Mountain normal, get to the end of the big straight, the one with the tunnel. Before you get to the big banked sharp turn you can look out over the valley or whatever. There is a lone tree staning there, bare, just standing there. That's one big big tree.

Hint: Use Of NOS
If you install a NOS system on your car, you can tap into it by pressing the R1 button. The Nitro guage is located to the right of the dash. Once it is empty,
you will need to take a pit stop to refuel it or wait for it to slowly recharge.

More power
When you are in a race and moving whilst moving hold down r2 and r2 whilst holding x and you will get a lot more power

Hint: Hidden Controls
There are a number of "hidden" controls in Gran Turismo 4 that will make navigating the game a bit easier.
On the main Gran Turismo Mode screen, press L1 to jump the cursor to Home, and press R1 to jump the cursor to the country of your vehicle's manufacturer.
When looking at your garage in Home, press START to bring up the vehicle settings screen.
When changing your vehicle's settings, press START to enlarge the Engine Power/Torque curve.
At the end of a series race, press START to skip the finish times and championship points screens.
During a replay, press L3 to fast-forward.
During a pit stop, press X to to stop refueling, letting you get out of the stop faster.
With the Driving Force Pro wheel, press any combination of the LEFT, RIGHT, and DOWN buttons on the D-pad to look in that direction while driving.

Hint: Press To Pause
At any screen with scrolling text, pause the ticker by pressing L3. The information ticker sometimes have the best tips in the game.

Hint: Secret Black Cars
The vehicle line-up in the used car showrooms is constantly changing. On the
last week of the changing cycle--starting day 694--four secret black race cars appear in the showrooms. Two of the cars are in the Used Car Showroom I and the other two are in Showroom II, and they only appear for one week (Gran Turismo time). All four cars can be purchased for about Cr.8,500,000 total, which is an absolute bargain for these sort of race cars.

Hint: Horse Power
When you buy or receive a new car, before driving it change the oil. This will increase the Horse Power of the car, which sometimes can be a pretty significant increase.

Hint: Transfer Files
If you have a save file from GT3 you can import money and licenses into GT4.
You can transfer license qualifications but you do not receive the unlockable items that come with the license when you get them without importing. You can transfer money up to 100,000 dollars. This can only be done once.

Unlock New cars and tracks
To unlock cars and tracks, compete in the GT Career mode. You can earn money there to upgrade your cars, and buy or sell new and used ones.

Unreal Tournament 3 Strategy

If you haven’t played Suspense – this map is a giant suspension bridge that has a flag base at each end. You can set up killing zones by using the towers as blockers, snipe or infiltrate the base by using the suspension bridge itself or use the various power ups to do flag runs. I’ll go into each one of those below and give a couple random tips at the end.

The main weapon on the map is the Goliath Tank – most people just drive it down the bridge and it usually gets blown up by an AVRiL, but there is a way to maximize your firepower. If you take the tank from its starting position and drive it diagonally across the street to the right to the first large bridge support pillar – then you can use the pillar as a barricade against AVRiLs and tank fire. By poking your turret out around the corner of the pillar and rocking back and forth to avoid incoming fire you can control the whole street and take out snipers on the far side by the SPMA. However, crafty people usually try to flank you in the Manta or by jumping to the building behind you – so be vigilant! If you get good at this maneuver you usually can easily get a Rampage every time.

Next – the bridge suspension cables provide access to the upper reaches of the bridge. To access this area you run up the cables, use your hoverboard to skate up the cables (kind of tricky!), or have a Raptor pilot drop you off on the top platform. Before you journey up to the top – take a Sniper Rifle or the AVRiL! If you want to snipe – on each suspension bridge tower is a UDamage (for a total of two… which you can easily grab one and then the other in a loop using a narrow walkway). The only way people can reach you on the top platforms are the same ways you got up there (which isn’t easy), and you can have some fun while they scramble to reach you. By using the suspension cables to facilitate your getaway is a fast way to get the flag and escape quickly. Usually people are looking on the ground for the stolen flag/flag carrier – not in the air!

When you are doing your flag runs remember to power up using the Body Armor and the Jump Boots (to help you escape). These are located in the “middle” of each bridge support (between the ground and the AVRiL platform). The Body Armor is on the on the right side as you look down the bridge from the base and the Jump Boots are on the left. Once you grab these items you will have a good chance at grabbing that flag and making it back to your base alive.

Finally, some random tips:

· When the Redeemer under the bridge appears, the manhole covers in the center of the bridge open – providing easy access to this weapon.

· Use the “lock on” function with the Rocket Launcher to kill any Mantas or Raptors strafing your base – too many people use the Stinger against aircraft and the results are much more effective with the Rocket Launcher.

· Crouch while grappling to a vehicle on the hoverboard – this keeps you steady, closer to the back end of the vehicle to avoid incoming fire, and doesn’t bounce you around as much.

Ultimate "Ninja Gaiden"

You loved him in the side-scrolling NES games that redefined action-adventure titles on that venerable system. You thrilled to his dazzling displays of hard-hitting ninja style and ingenuity in Dead or Alive 3 (developer Team Ninja’s last Xbox outing). Now, Ryu Hayabusa, the original booty-kicking ninja assassin, gets his own solo show on the Xbox in the all-new Ninja Gaiden, published by the fine folks at Service Games. The first thing you’re going to notice is that the game looks even better than the bench-settingDead or Alive 3-except this is a full-on third-person action game with huge levels and cut scenes that could teach even the Wachowski brothers a thing or two. But Ninja Gaiden is much more than a visual work of art. Once you pick up the controller and see what you can do with Ryu, you’re going to be hooked.

Choose the right weapon for the job.

Enter the Ninja
Like all good avenging ninjas, Ryu has an arsenal of weapons at his disposal, including his sword, a variety of shuriken, a bow and arrow, a heavy war hammer, and of course, nunchuks. Each weapon has unique strengths and weaknesses, and with his ninjitsu powers (i.e. magic), Ryu has virtually never-ending series of possible combos-not to mention basic moves that look like they should be combos.

Check out these gameplay tips to get the most out of your shiny new Hayabusa.

The Walls Have Feet
One of the simplest tricks to master is the wall run, which lets you access unreachable areas and utilize all three dimensions of any combination. It’s also as basic as you can get. To run up the wall, just get close to the wall and guide Ryu from the floor to the wall with the thumbstick.

Button Mashers Need Not Apply
Repeat after me: I will not mash. The first time you pick upNinja Gaiden, the speed will seem frantic. But don’t cheat yourself with some equally frantic mashing. The elegantly simple control system rewards accurate strikes as well as tactical thinking, so learn the controls and execute moves and combos purposefully.

Learn your enemy’s weak points.

Behold, the Power of Ninjitsu
Using the mysterious dark arts of the ninja and an able assist from the Y and B buttons, Ryu can call upon different ninjitsu powers in the game. These ninjitsu powers are essentially spells that can inflict heavy damage on many foes at once, but the power to execute these special attacks is limited by the number of golden fire balls underneath Ryu’s health meter … and they don’t refill quickly. Try to make sure you’re surrounded by enemies, and then hit Y and B together to release the particular power you’ve selected. You can go into the menu and switch that power at any time during the game, assuming you’ve got more than one.

Room for Improvement
Keep a close eye on your score. Ninja Gaiden rewards a stylish kill with points that you can use to upgrade your ninja arsenal. Don’t be satisfied with merely defeating an opponent; string together those combos and earn yourself a better weapon.

Stay on the move if you want to keep in one piece.

Throw, Slash, Repeat
You have an endless supply of throwing stars, which will do a small amount of damage, but leave many enemies briefly stunned. That gives you the chance to follow through with your weapon of choice and combo away. Throwing stars are also handy when Ryu is surrounded by foes that don’t quite warrant the use of ninjitsu powers.

Think Like a Ninja
Ryu Hayabusa isn’t a slave to the same laws of physics as you, me, or even most videogame characters, for that matter. Initially, you will encounter areas that seem to be utter dead ends. In such cases, there’s sure to be a way for you to get where you need to go, but it’s not necessarily going to be obvious. If you get stuck, snap into first-person mode with a click of the left thumbstick, and scan for corners that Ryu can climb with a wall jump-walls that might be vulnerable to an exploding shuriken or a low-hanging bar that our ninja hero can use to gymnastically reach higher elevations.

How to farm gold in World of Warcraft

ost people are asking how to farm gold in WoW. This should help you out. I will include a list on of some of the ways of farming for Warcraft gold. It is EASY! In the south, middle edge of The Badlands zone, nestled in the small valley, you can farm normal rock elements. These people seem to drop a lot of grey loot which vendors for 50 silver to 1.5 WoW gold, and they drop it at every kill. What they also drop is Elemental Earth which sells at the auction house for 1-3 WoW gold a piece. The average drop is 1 out of 17. Another way of how to farm gold in WoW, is to farm elemental slaves on the west side of Alterac mountains, for the chance to get elemental earths (1 out 15 kills). This goes for about 1-3 WoW gold a piece on AH.

You can also use elemental exiles on the southwest area of Arathi Highlands for elemental earths, which is also the same 1-3 WoW gold per earth on AH. How to farm gold in WoW is to farm in Arathi Highlands for 30 npcs of 2-6 silver each on 3-5 minute spawn timers. Times are not often camped. You could easily generate 1-5 WoW gold – even more if you are an AOE class. You can also farm in Arathi Highlands, as the alliance only, for 30-40 npcs of 2-6 silver each on 3-5 minute spawn timers. These timers are also not often camped. You could easily generate 1-5 WoW gold an hour. How to farm gold WoW? You can enter the secret scarlet monastery graveyard, in tristfall glades northwest corner of the map. This will get you a good 2 silver to 6 silver kill. Nevertheless, an AOE class can easily farm and reset the instance for outstanding 30-60 WoW gold in an hour.

Another way of how to farm gold in WoW, is to farm Warpwoods and Deadwoods for about 2-10 silver, rare herb drops. These sell around 1-5 WoW gold each. Living Essence sells for 1-1.5 WoW gold each at the Auction House. On the north side of Felwood zone near the alliance flight parth person, Warpwoods are located. The Deadwoods can be located just southwest of where the Warpwoods are. An easy 40-80 WoW gold an hour depending on AH prices. If you know how to farm gold in WoW and if you have faster dps class, then you can easily double your WoW gold per hour. Twilight hammer elites in Searing Gorge, is another way to farm. These elites are located west of the alliance/horde flight points. This is an easy 3-5 mageweave cloth per drop, and somewhere around 2silver to16silver per kill, with 9/10 silver, being the most common drop. You can undoubtedly make 10 WoW gold per hour off coin drops and around 5-20 WoW gold p/hour for the green and mageweave drops.

There are many more ways of how to farm gold in WoW. Farm the stockades in Stormwind City for easy greens and wool. It’s the best dungeon/instance to farm wool cloth because every other kill is worth 3-5 pieces of wool and there are about 100 NPCs in the instance. Don’t be alarmed when I tell you that a stack of wool can go from 77silver to 2 WoW gold at the AH. Try farming the scarlet monastery chests and locked chests for large knapsacks. These sell for 1.25-2 WoW gold. Occasionally, you will get a Blue item instead of Knapsacks. You usually get them once every 11th locked chest. Also, focus on the graveyard library and armory. NOT THE CATHEDRAL! Then you could easily get about 8 locked chests an hour and 10 regular ones. For this you’d need a rouge to lock pick or use blacksmithing and use Golden Skeleton Keys. This will require a 150 blacksmith skill.

WoW Gold Tricks

This is a listing of 18 major gold farming locations in World of Warcraft. The listing is pretty much biased towards higher level zones simply because farming gold with a low level character isn’t very smart at all. It’s much faster to level up your character to level 60 on some crappy equipment and then start earning gold for all the stuff you want to buy.

Hopefully competition for these farming spots doesn’t increase too much after I publish this guide.

Happy farming!

WESTFALL
*********

Defias Trappers
(31,33)

In the Western shore of Westfall there is a small outpost that’s surrounded by level 12-13 Defias Trappers. This is a great farming spot for low level and even high level players because these Trappers respawn super fast. These Trappers have a 35% drop rate for Linen Cloth so higher level can fill their backbag with Linen Cloth very quickly while lower level
players can use this spot to grind for experience.

STRANGLETHORN VALE
*******************

Crystalvein Mine
(44,45)

Crystalvein Mine is a cave to the East from Gurubashi Arena. Inside the cave you’ll find a lot of Ironjaw Basiliks which are level 43-44 mobs. You’ll be able to earn nice gold by selling all the vendor trash items these guys drop and grinding the corpses for Thick Leather and Heavy Leather.

AZSHARA
********

Highbornes
(16,70)

Shadowsong Shire is on the left side of the road when you enter Azshara from Ashenvale. You’ll find some level 44-47 Highborne ghosts in there. They’re weak caster units so you’ll be able to farm them with ease for tons of mageweave, green drops and random chests.

TANARIS
*******

Southsea Pirates
(72,44)

There is a Southsea pirate town in eastern Tanaris. The place is called Lost Rigger Cove and you can get there by going throught a tunnel. The place is full of level 43-45 pirates who should be very easy to farm on high levels. These guys drop some nice silver, Mageweave and Silk Cloth and also have a good drop rates for blue/purple items for such a low level mob which makes grinding them worthwhile.

UN’GORO CRATER
**************

Devilsaurs

Overall Un’Goro Crater is a great zone for skinners as there are so many kinds of skinnable mobs. It’s even better if you can kill Devilsaurs (level 52-55 elites) which can be skinned for Devilsaur Leather (Can sell for 50 gold per stack). Devilsaurs patrol
6 different paths around Un’Goro and respawn relatively quickly which means that you can basically do circles around the crater killing Devilsaurs non-stop. Soloing Devilsaurs and Ironhide Devilsaurs shouldn’t be too hard on level 60. I’d recommend avoiding Tyrant Devilsaurs though because they have a nasty Fear ability.

WINTERSPRING
************

Ice Thistle Yetis
(67,40)

These guys are great for skinners. Not only do they drop nice vendor trash items, green items and sometimes blue/epics buy you can also skin them for Rugged Leather and Thick Leather which makes farming them greatly worthwhile. You’ll find tons of Ice Thistle Yetis from a large area North and East from Everlook.

Lake of Kel’Theril
(53,42)

There are tons of level 54-55 ghosts around this lake. (Suffering/Anguished Highborne, etc.) These ghosts are pretty weak, drop 2-8 silver, a lot of green items and even have a tiny change of dropping epics. Random chests also spawn on this area. The lake is often heavily farmed but other than that it’s a great farming spot.

Also, a weekly water elemental invasion also takes place around the lake. It goes on until the boss, Princess Tempestria is slain. The elementals have a good drop rate for Essence of Water and the boss drops good very valuable blue items like Ace of Elementals. You’ve better group up for the boss though, soloing her isn’t impossible but still pretty hard to do.

Cobalt Dragons
(57,50)

South East from the Lake of Kel’Theril there is a cave and around that cave there are a lot of Cobalt Dragons which are level 56-58 elites. The Cobalt Mageweavers/Scalebanes/Cobalt Wyrmkins on this area have a tiny change (Something like 1/1000) of dropping a a [Mature Blue Dragon Sinew]. Getting this item is hard work but you’ll be greatly rewarded if you succeed because Hunters need this items for a quest to get the epic quiver [Ancient Sinew Wrapped Lamina] and that’s why it can sell for hundreds of gold.

As a bonus Cobalt Mageweavers also have a pretty high 1.7% drop rate for [Recipe: Greater Arcane Protection Potion]. Guilds need this potion for AQ so you’ll be able to sell it for a pretty nice amount of gold if you can find the right buyer. Of course most elites also drop a lot of valuable green and blue items and Cobalt Dragons are no exception.

Frostmaul Giants

Frostmaul Giants are down in the Frostwhisper Gorge which is in South from Everlook. These guys are level 59-60 elites so they are pretty tough but they have a 2% drop rate for [Recipe: Greater Frost Protection Potion] which makes them worth farming for. The recipe can very well sell for something like 50 gold. As said already, these guys aren’t easy so it won’t hurt to be a Hunter or a Warlock when soloing them.

Darkwhisper Gorge
(60,75)

Darkwhisper Gorge is South from Everlook, all the way to bottom of the map of Winterspring. The demons (Hederine Slayer/Intiate) there are level 60 Elites so you’ve better group up before going there. What makes this place lucrative is that the demons have almost 1% drop rate for Eye of Shadow which is a very high value item (can sell for over 200 gold). You’ll also get tons of Runecloth, Felcloth and green items.

FELWOOD
********

Angerclaw Maulers
(37,43)

Angerclaw Mauler bears are all over Felwood but there is a particularly good grinding spot for them at (37,43) which is North and a bit East from Bloodvenom Post (Horde camp). There are about 15 Angerclaw Maulers near that spot which can be killed relatively quickly for a lot of gray vendor trash drops. The trick is that when you combine those with
the Thick Leather and Rugged Leather that can be skinned off these guys, you’ll earn gold surprisingly fast.

Jadefire Run
(41,19)

Jadefire Run in Northern Felwood is a great place to farm tons of Runecloth and some Felcloth which is very valuable. The mobs on that area are level 52-53 Satyrs (Jadefire Betrayer/Trickster/etc) which are pretty easy to kill. This is a great farming spot as long as there isn’t too much competition.

WESTERN PLAGUELANDS
********************

Felstone field
(36,57)

Felstone field is first of the fields when you come from Bulwark. The great thing about this place is that there are tons of weak undead mobs who drop a lot of Runecloth. The respawn rate is also high so you won’t have any downtime unless there are other farmers competing with you.

Hearthglen
(45,16)

Hearhglen is the Scarlet city in Northern Western Plaguelands. There are relatively easy to kill level 53-56 Elites (Scarlet Priest/Sentinel/Paladin/etc) all over Hearthglen. These guys have a high drop rate for Runecloth but what really makes them worth farming are the misc green/blue/epic items they sometimes drop.

There is also a tower (55,25) which you’ll pass on your way to Hearthglen. The tower is usually heavily farmed for [Formula: Enchant Weapon - Crusader] because Scarlet Spellbinder is the only unit in the game to drop that formula and there are 7 of those in the tower. This formula is very valuable and can sell for 200+ gold. I’d recommend anyone who ever gets a change to farm these guys without competition to do so.

Decaying Horrors and Rotting Behemoths

You’ll find Decaying Horrors and Rotting Behemoths near and inside The Weeping Cave in Eastern part of WPL. These are just regular level 55-57 mobs with a high drop rate for [Recipe: Greater Nature Protection Potion]. You get one recipe for about ever 100 kills and it can sell for as much as 100 gold so this looks like a pretty good deal to me.

EASTERN PLAGUELANDS
*******************

Mossflayer Zombies
(28,85)

Mossflayer Zombies reside in The Undercroft which is in the Southwestern corner of EPL. These guys drop are nothing too special except for being weak, respawning quickly and dropping a lot of silver and Runecloth. This is a good place to farm if there is too much competition over the other farming spots.

Plaguebats

You’ll have no problem finding Plaguebats. They’re all over the Southern part of EPL. Farming these guys is worth it especially during the Darkmoon Faire because Plaguebats have a high drop rate for Evil Bat Eyes which are required for a Darkmoon Faire quest. On some cases Evil Bat Eyes can sell for as much as 2 gold a piece. Of course you’ll also make a lot of gold selling all the vendor trash items and skinning the corpses of these guys.

Larval Acids

Carrion Grubs and Carrion Devourers are also the kind of mobs you’ll see all over the place in EPL. These guys have a high drop rate for Larval Acid which can sell for as much as 7 gold so killing all the Carrion mobs you encounter might not be a bad idea.

Farming Shadowfang Keep for Rogue twink gear
December 3rd, 2006
Shadowfang Keep is the best source for level 19 twink gear. These items sell for pretty high prices because rich high level players buy them for their low level ‘twink’ characters so that they can dominate the low level battlegrounds. Pretty much any trash mob inside Shadowfang Keep can drop one of these items but the drop rates aren’t very high. Some people have estimated that on average you get one BoE blue item every five SFK runs.

Grinding these trash mobs (around level 20 elites) is really easy as a higher level character. Another way to profit from these twink items is to find newbies doing Shadowfang Keep runs who don’t realize how much these twink items can be worth.

Twink items dropped by SFK mobs:

Assasin’s Blade is the best dagger for level 19 Rogues. With a Fiery or a Crusader enchant it also becomes a good dagger for level 20-29 twinks. This is a very high demand twink item which should easily sell for over 100 gold. If there are tons of Rogue twinks on your server it might sell for over 500 gold. On average you get one of these every 85 SFK runs.

Shadowfang is the best level 19 one-handed sword which makes it another great Rogue twink weapon. Toughest guys want to have a Shadowfang in the main hand and a Assasin’s Blade in the offhand. On average you get one Shadowfang every 100 SFK runs.

Night Reaver is a great two-handed axe for level 18 Warriors. Not worth as much as the Rogue twink gear above but might sell for something like 50+ gold if you’re lucky.

Witching Stave is great for level 17 Mages/Warlocks/Priests.

Black Malice also drops in SFK. It’s a two-handed mace for level 16 Warriors. Doesn’t sell for nearly as much as any of the above items though.

Guillotine Axe is a good level 18 axe for Hunters.

Profit by reselling limited supply recipes
November 28th, 2006
Reselling limited supply recipes is one of the easiest ways to earn gold in World of Warcraft. This is especially true for newbies because doing it takes nothing more than knowledge on where to find the recipe and some time. Also when ever you travel nearby one of these limited recipe vendors it might be a good idea to check if he has the
recipe on stock and buy the recipe. Then you should create a low level character on a city with an Auction House and mail your recipes/other sellable items to that character. That makes selling those item much faster than having to travel to a city every time you want to auction off something.

The reason why these items sell so well in the Auction House is that you only get them from one or two vendors and many people are too lazy to figure out who and where these vendors are. This is kind of proven by the fact that you can buy recipes from a vendor in a city and then auction them off in the AH of the same city for a big profit. Many people are also ready to pay so that they can save time by not having to do a trip to the vendor.

Btw, it makes no sense posting multiple copies of the same limited recipe at the same time in the AH. That will just drive the prices down so you’re better off selling your limited recipes one-by-one.

Exploiting other people’s raid-ids
November 26th, 2006
There was a post on the official World of Warcraft forums earlier this month which talked about how you can use other people’s raid-ids for your own advantage without breaking any rules. Basically this enables guild A to enter guild B’s instance and skip content that guild B has already cleared. The post was later removed by Blizzard but I copy pasted it here:

Why use hacks to bypass AQ40 content when it is perfectly legal to just “steal” another guilds raid-id and use it for your own guilds benefit? And guess what? It is PERFECTLY legal to do so! It does not matter if the guild you “steal” from can or cannot complete that instance, its PERFECTLY legal to take it from them and do it yourself. Heck, you can even wipe the guild that you “steal” the raid-id’s from so that your guild can do it when time is beneficial to you. You can do all of this even WITHOUT asking the other guild for permission!

So why is this allowed and perfectly OK with server GM’s? Apparently to Blizzard, there is no such thing as “stealing” another guilds raid-id. If another guild happens to get your BWL, AQ40, or even Naxx id it is because you “gave” it to them. They do not believe that it is possible for a guild to “steal” the raid-id from another.

Well guess what? There are ways to do so and as long as this is legal, every guild on every server should use this to their advantage. Why clear up to Nef when you can just take another guilds instance that has it already cleared? Why wall hack and go through C’thun trash when you can just take it from a guild that has already done it for you?

Now you are wondering, well Itsy, how does my guild get into this fantastic time saving and legal offer? Well Bob, these are the many ways that you too can enjoy saving your guild loads of time on trash mobs!

1) The easiest method is to put moles into guilds that you want to “borrow” raid-id’s from. The mole joins a raid (willingly or through auto-invite) and voilah! You now have a perfectly nice and legal raid-id for your guild to use at your own pleasure.

2) Do a /who GuildIWantToStealFrom and find out what members are in the instance you want to “borrow” from. When those members are finished with the instance, you now have the chance to “borrow” this guilds raid id! Stand by the instance you want to “borrow” the raid-id from. Start inviting people that were in the raid to your party. If one declines, no worries, there are 39 other more that might join your party! So keep trying Eventually someone will join your party and when this happens quickly convert the party into a raid, make the person you invited into raid leader, then just ZONE IN! Voilah! A new raid-id for you to use that will save you hours of time each week!

3) If you want to “borrow” another guilds raid-id, another efficient and covert way are to run pug groups. Your chances of getting a raid-id increase with the size of the pug. So MC pugs are a great way to pick and choose ids from different guilds. But it doesn’t have to be MC as any pug group would work. Once you have the guy you want to “borrow” from, give him leader, zone into the instance you want, and once again be excited over the new raid-id you have just gained!

4) Another easy way is to abuse the kindness of people. You can easily get a BWL id by asking a person from the guild you want to “borrow” if its ok for them to use their BWL id to make flasks for their guild. Or ask someone if it’s ok for them to “borrow” their raid-id so that they can turn in their Armaments in AQ40. You’ll be surprised how many nice people (suckers) there are that will fall for this every time!

—END SARCASM—

You will wonder if any of this is true, well sadly it is all true and I will prove it to you with the screenshots I have attached. Screenshots with server GM’s saying that this is legal and nothing can be done about it.

You will wonder how I know all of this. Once again sadly, we were recently forced to deal with a situation against a guild with a horrible reputation, Decadence, which tried to do this to our guild and our AQ40 id. They have also done this to other guilds that are able to clear AQ40 and forcefully try to wipe guilds on C’thun attempts so that they can do it on their own time.

I honestly do not see a difference between Decadence and the guild that was recently banned for skipping AQ40 content. As a matter of fact, I find the methods used by Decadence to be viler as it infringes upon extreme harassment and affects people outside their own guild.

The reason we were able to stop Decadence from taking our C’thun kill because someone kind in their guild gave us a warning. When we foiled them from killing C’thun, they even threatened us over General Chat that they will steal our ID again and wipe us while we did the instance on the following week. Apparently this is still not grounds for harassment to the GM’s.

Assassin's Creed Combat Tips

Weapons

You have five main weapons available to you in Assassin's Creed, each with different abilities tied to it. We'll discuss each of them here.

Fists

Your fists are the tools you'll use to beat on thugs and otherwise cause mayhem without killing anyone. You don't have a lot of combat abilities while using your fists; you can choose to grab enemies and throw them to the ground, or punch them in the face, but that's about it.

Note that attacking a civilian with your fists won't cause the guards to come running (which is handy when you're trying to perform an Interrogation mission), but any nearby thugs will stop to join in the fisticuffs. Thugs are the portly gentlemen you steal throwing knives from; they hit pretty hard, so you'll want to avoid them if you need to beat someone down.

Hidden Blade

The hidden blade is your primary assassination tool. You have two methods of attacking with it: you can either walk up to someone in Low Profile mode and assassinate them from close range, or you can run at them in High Profile mode and perform a flashier kill.Low Profile assassinations are pretty easy to pull off on unsuspecting foes; simply get close and tap your button to take them down. This allows you to stealthily kill a target without alerting anyone nearby; even if a beggar is looking directly at you, they usually won't notice that you've just killed someone. You'll need to run away quickly, though, because if you stand around over a dead body the guards will make the obvious inference and run towards you. Guards that are in especially close proximity to one another will usually be alerted if one of them is stealthily killed, but in many cases you'll have time to hit a second target with your hidden blade before they can draw their swords to defend themselves.

High Profile assassinations involve a bit of showmanship; you'll usually jump at your target and plunge your knife into his neck as the two of you tumble to the ground. This is an obvious kill and will alert all nearby citizens and guards to your presence. Since you can only run in High Profile, these kills are the only way to assassinate running targets; simply run behind your foe while locked onto them and tap your assassinate button when you get close to them. Eventually you'll catch up to them and ice them.

Whether you go for a stealth or obvious assassination, you shouldn't expect guards that are suspicious of you or that have their swords drawn to be killable with the hidden blades; they'll usually grab your arm or throw you to the ground if you attempt to pull off an assassination during a fight. That said, though, if you manage to knock an enemy to the ground, you can quickly switch to the hidden blade and assassinate them before they get up. This is easiest to do if you fight near a wall; just grab your foe, throw them into the wall, then assassinate them while they lay at your feet. Some counters will also knock your enemies down, making it easy to take them out with the blade, provided you can reach them before they get up.

Long Sword

Your long sword is going to be your best weapon for most full-fledged fights. It's solid, dependable, and can slice through multiple opponents while still providing you with excellent defenses.Your basic abilities here are to guard yourself by holding down the right trigger (or the High Profile button); that will automatically guard you against incoming enemy attacks, so long as you're actually locked onto an enemy. You can swing with the attack button, as well.

Most of the additional abilities of the long sword will be covered in the Combat Maneuvers portion of this chapter.

Short Blade

The short blade is similar to the long blade, but allows for quicker attacks and has some flashier kill animations; most of the combat maneuvers are the same for either weapon. It's worth noting that the short blade has the same weapon shortcut as the throwing knives, which allows you to use the short blade as a defensive tool and to attack enemies in melee range. If an enemy is out of range, though, you'll automatically use a throwing knife to take them down, which can be handy to thin the ranks in large fights. Sometimes you can wind up wasting throwing knives, though, such as if you try to use the short blade to attack an enemy that's on the ground; you'll often wind up chucking a knife into the air instead of attacking with the blade.

It's worth noting that, even though the timing is trickier, if you pull off a counter with the short sword you will pretty much always perform an instant kill on almost any enemy, including the final bosses. It's a powerful tactic if you're good at countering blows with the normal sword and wish to try to exercise your skills a bit more.

Throwing Knives

Throwing knives are your sole method of dealing damage at range. When you're locked onto an enemy, you'll throw a knife directly at them, which will usually result in an instant kill. This can be done in combat or outside of combat, but if you're in combat and your enemy is close, you'll use the short blade instead. Some of the tougher enemies, like Templars or assassination targets, will be hit by the knives, but not killed, resulting in an alarm.

You'll also have a tough time hitting moving targets from a distance, but the knives are great for hitting stationary targets like archers or the guards around a citizen that needs to be saved. You can also drop a body onto the ground to lure over guards, then snipe anyone that investigates with your knives.

You only have a limited amount of knives on your person, however. If you run out, or need more, you can return to Masyaf, or find a thug to pickpocket. Thugs are the roaming, portly gentlemen with reverse fannypacks. While normal civilians won't be outlined in white as you move through a crowd, thugs will. Lock onto them and pickpocket them to restore five throwing knives per thug, per pickpocketing.

World of Warcraft Shaman Tips

Shamans are the spiritual leaders of their tribes and clans. They communicate with spirits, have visions of the future, and guide their people through the darkest of times. Many mistake their wisdom and serenity for a pacifist nature. When challenged, though, shaman have a range of powers available for dealing with threats to the natural order.

The Shaman is a secondary Healing class (to the Priest) with a fun assortment of spells and options. The Shaman is especially liked by party members for its Healing and beneficial totems. The Shaman has up to four types of totems: Earth, Fire, Water, and Air. An important part of playing the Shaman is figuring out which totem is best to use in each situation.

The Shaman is similar to a Paladin without as much armor.

Available Classes

Totems

The Shaman has up to three types of totems: Earth, Fire, and Water. The Shaman must earn each totem by questing. The Earth totem is the first totem that's available. Other totems are available at higher levels. You should stop by the trainer every so often as you level up to see if they have a quest for a new totem.

Totems appear in the game in two different ways: as inventory objects and as spell effects. In order to cast totem spells, the Shaman must have earned and possess in his inventory the totem for that element. When he casts a totem spell, he generates a temporary magical totem on the ground nearby that can be seen and attacked by players and monsters.
Totems remain stationary and do not move with you. You and your group must remain close to the totem to benefit from it.

Totems are Soulbound, meaning that you cannot give one to another player. Totems are required in your inventory to cast a totem of that totem type. For example, if you want to cast a Searing Totem of the Fire Totem type you must have a Fire Totem in your inventory. The good news is that the totems have unlimited usage once you get them. You don't have to continue to buy reagents to use your totems.
You can have one totem of each totem type active at a time. For example, you can cast up to three totems at once: an Earth Totem, Fire Totem, and Water Totem.
The last totem overrides the previous totem of the same type. If you cast a fire totem, then cast another fire totem the last one will cancel the first one. This is important to know because you don't want to waste your mana by casting two totems of the same totem type.
Once placed on the ground, totems can be attacked by both monsters and players. This is important to realize as enemy Shaman can cast totems as well. When you see an enemy Shaman cast a totem, attack and destroy it.

Earth Totems

Stoneskin Totem - Reduces physical damage taken.

Earthbind Totem - Slows down enemy movement speed. Cast this totem shortly before an enemy is about to run away. This will slow him down so you can kill him before he can get help from his friends.

Strength of the Earth Totem - Gives nearby party members a bonus to strength. This has the potential to increase their damage and other bonuses depending on their class. If you have a lot of melee strength based tanks, you might find this useful.

Stoneclaw Totem - Taunts nearby creatures to attack it. This is one of your most useful Totems. When the monsters are attacking this totem, they are not attacking you. This means less damage during a fight. This is also a somewhat useful escape totem. Cast it and start running after the monsters start attacking the totem. This can sometimes be enough to allow you to escape without dying.

Tremor Totem - Shakes the ground around it, waking party members from harmful status. This totem is useful for when monsters try to put you to sleep or use other "harmful status effects."

Fire Totems

Searing Totem - Summons a Searing Totem at your feet that attacks nearby enemies.

Water Totems

Healing Stream Totem - Heals nearby group members. Use this during or especially after battle.

Frost Resistance Totem - Increases party members' frost resistance. This is useful against monsters that have frost attacks.

Especially Cool Abilities!

Ghost Wolf - Research this ability as soon as it is available. This allows you to transform into a wolf and run faster! A special button will appear on your interface once you have learned Ghost Wolf. You cannot cast spells or do many other things as a Ghost Wolf. You cannot ride air mounts such as Wyverns while in Ghost Wolf form.

Astral Recall - The Shaman can use this spell to return to the Home Point. This is especially useful for many applications such as selling, turning in quests, meeting up with people, and more!

Rebirth - Resurrects players! This is an invaluable ability that is required often and is greatly appreciated in a party.

Earth Magic

Earth Shock - A direct damage spell that also disrupts spells from being cast. You can cast this while running.

Rockbiter Weapon - Adds additional damage to each hit.

Spirit Magic

Purge (Dispel) - Removes one magic effect. Use this if the enemy has some kind of buff on. Once it's removed, the enemy will be weaker and hopefully easier to kill.
Far Sight - Changes the caster's viewpoint to the targeted location. This spell is especially useful for scouting, for looking for certain NPCs, and for FUN! Far Sight rules.

Fire Magic

Flame Shock - Sears the target with fire and causes damage over time. Use this ability if you will be fighting the monster for a longer period of time. If you use it on a monster that will be killed pretty quickly, then the spell is somewhat wasted.

Flametongue Weapon - Adds possible fire damage to your weapon. This ability will put an awesome fire graphic over your weapon, which will draw attention from other players. You can cast this while running.

Molten Blast - Direct damage spell. You can use this instead of Lightning Bolt if you choose. You can even focus on fire with talents and use Molten Blast primarily.

Water Magic

Healing Wave - Heals a friendly target. This is your healing spell. It's one of your most important spells since you will need it to heal yourself and your party members.

Frostbrand Weapon - Chance of causing additional frost damage and slowing the target's movement speed. This ability is great to use in addition to the Earthbind Totem against monsters that are going to run.

Air Magic

Lightning Bolt - This is a direct damage spell useful for finishing monsters off, doing damage to them or even pulling monsters. You may want to specialize in Lightning or go for Fire and use Molten Blast.

Lightning Shield - A chance the attacker will be struck for damage. This expends X charges. This ability is useful for protection and additional damage.

Other Spells

Water Breathing - This is useful if you're fighting for extended periods of time under water or just for fun and exploration. You can cast this on other players too!

There are other cool abilities at higher levels.

Tips

You should cast Searing Totem at the start of the battle, and then cast a direct damage spell (Molten Blast or Lightning Bolt) to pull the monster. If the monsters are spell casters, you might want to start off with the spell Earth Shock to prevent them from casting spells (or healing). If you are soloing, you should cast the spell Lightning Shield, make sure your weapon damage buffs are active, and then engage in combat. At some point, you should cast the spell Stoneclaw Totem, which will taunt the monsters off of you, to allow you to attempt to heal yourself, or run away if you're in trouble. You should cast Earthbind Totem to prevent the monster from fleeing or you can try to finish off a running monster with one of the shock spells or your direct damage spell.

-You have several planning options from going heavy armor, defense, and defensive talents to focusing more heavily on caster like stats such as mana, spell specialization, and so on.

Trade Skill Options

You can pick whatever you want. You might find these more tailored to the Shaman:

Skinning and Leatherworking - The Shaman can create Leather armor for himself or sell it to others.
Herbalism and Enchanting - Shaman can enchant their equipment to make themselves more powerful.
Herbalism and Alchemy - The Shaman can create buff potions or healing potions.

WoW Paladin Tips

Paladins occupy a unique position in World of Warcraft. Like other mmorpgs, paladins occupy the position of holy warrior, but rather than be a watered down version of the paladin and warrior as the class is implemented in such games as Everquest, World of Warcraft’s talent trees let a player decide whether to specialize in tanking, dealing damage, or healing.

Playing a paladin well can be a demanding, but rewarding experience for a player. The following tips will help a paladin in Azeroth be more effective. A player should discard or modify the tips presented here depending on what works for his play style and his character.

1. Use Seals to Increase the Party’s Mana Regeneration and Keep Aggro off of DPS Characters

Seals are paladin buffs that last 10 minutes. Paladin spells such as blessing of wisdom to greatly increase the mana regeneration of other characters and himself by using it. Blessing of Salvation reduces aggro generated by DPS characters, or the group’s healer. While seals can help the paladin’s party, they can also help the character. The Seal of Fury can be cast on the character or the group's tank tank to help the character hold the attention of a monster

2. Decide to Tank, DPS, or Heal – and Know When to Switch

Even if a World of Warcraft paladin does not specialize in the holy branch, he may often find himself being cast into the role of back-up healer. Even the priest, shaman, or druid healers who understand mana management and have maximized their mana regeneration occasionally run out.

3. Stop Fleeing Mobs

The Warlock may be able to stop it completely with curse of recklessness and the hunter’s traps may be able to slow fleeing enemies so the group can take care of a fleeing NPC before he brings back friends, but paladins can use the judge with justice ability according to the Paladin Guide on Allkahazam.

4. Keep Gear Updated

This tip is similar to the warrior tip, and paladins will often be called upon to tank for a group. While updated gear is less important for the healing paladin, following this tip keeps his mana pool and mana regeneration rater high. If it seems similar to the advice given to warriors, that is because warriors and paladins are often called upon to achieve the same tasks in the group.

World of Warcraft Warrior Tips

Warriors are often considered to be the easiest class to play in many mmorpgs. This carries over from table-top role playing games where the warriors were initially implemented in a hack-and-slash fashion. Even the table top games have gotten away from this set up, so it is not surprising that mmorpgs have followed suit. One of the best resources for players looking to get information on playing a warrior in World of Warcraft are the forums on Blizzard’s official web site.

1. Get and Keep Aggro

The first tip to give the fledgling World of Warcraft warrior is that regardless of his talent tree, he should learn how to get and keep aggro. The fury talent tree may be considered the best tree for leveling, but warriors are not often invited to groups for their DPS capability. The game allows a character to specialize in other fields, but a warrior who knows how to get and keep aggro regardless of his specialization will be a welcome addition and indeed, the basis of many groups.

2. Keep an Eye on the Healer

Many players will ignore damage class, but the second World of Warcraft warrior tip is to keep an eye on the group's healer. There are times when a healer must gain a monster’s attention to keep other members of the group alive. This includes the World of Warcraft warrior. Should the healer gain the attention of the monster, the warrior should do what he can to pull the mobs off of the person healing. Ideally, other party members should watch the health bar of their party healer also.

3. Updated Gear is a Must

The third World of Warcraft warrior tip is to keep the gear as close to the character's level as possible. Good armor and weapons are essential for the warrior to do his job. Blue items are best, but characters with a limited budget may find it impractical to equip their characters this way.

Grouping often will help character keep his equipment as close as possible to his level. Just remember to ask the group before needing an item. Poor equipment or equipment too far below the character's level will not help the warrior hold a monster's attention.

4. Discard Useless Advice

Some classes often get told how to do their job, healers and crowd control classes especially. Unless a person is completely inept, advice given by another player should be considered carefully and discarded if it is not useful. Knowing what advice helps a player improve how he plays his character and which is merely someone telling a player something that works for him

World of Warcraft Rogue Tips

Rogues are best class at providing melee DPS in World of Warcraft. That being said, the following rogue tips will center around 2 important aspects of the class:doing as much damage as possible while avoiding aggro from the monsters that the rogue’s group is fighting.

1. Slice ‘n Dice – Haste Kills Opponents Faster

The first World of Warcraft rogue tip is to use his haste abilities as much as possible. While this benefits the combat branch of the rogue talent tree most often as the abilities in that branch of the rogue talent tree are designed to improve weapon damage and the speed at which it is dealt. Striking an opponent more often helps all melee classes improve overall damage output.

2. Don’t Get Aggro

The second rogue tip is to learn agro control. Rogues are capable of dealing a lot of damage fast, the leather armor they wear means they are not the best class to take a lot of damage. Just because a rogue can use abilities to do damage much of the time, does not mean he should. Add-ons such as threat meter can help the rogue determine when to use abilities such as feint to lower his agro.

3. Keep Those Daggers Sharp and Shiny

The third rogue tip is similar to the other tips given out to melee classes such as paladins and warriors. Rogues may be less dependent on armor than other classes in World of Warcraft, but in order to do the most damage possible a rogue should have the best weapons he can afford. Because rogues and mages share the top spot or being the best DPS class, a groups can help the rogue get decent gear.

Keeping armor up to date while not as important will help a rogue stay alive longer and lose the attention of a monster or give his group’s tank a chance to use his taunt ability.

Adapt the Advice to Your Play Style

As with the other tip articles in Suite 101's video and online games section, a player should discard or modify any rogue tip that is not useful to a character’s particular play style. Further information can be found on both the official World of Warcraft forums maintained by Blizzard and the unofficial World of Warcraft forums can be an invaluable source for a player looking for more in-depth rogue tips or guides.

WoW Priest Tips Beginner's Guide

Priests may be considered one of the best healing classes in World of Warcraft, but that does not mean even the best player does not have room for the improvement. Here are some tips to help the World of Warcraft priest improve his game. He should know how to heal, use his crowd control abilities effectively, and use bubbles when things are desperate to help turn the situation to the group's advantage..

1. Regardless of Specialization, Learn to Heal

The third priest tip is similar to tips found in other classes with healing capabilities, such as the shaman and the paladin. A person who intends to level to 70 as a priest by soloing may ignore the advice for a time, but when he reaches raid level, his guild will expect him to have mastered the art of healing his party.

2. Understand the Priest Class Crowd Control Abilities

While the mage may be the best class in World of Warcraft for crowd control overall, and the hunter's traps do not target specific mob types, the second priest tip is to use the class's crowd control abilities against effectively. Mind control can cause a living humanoid opponent to fight on the side of the priest and his allies, and shackles effectively removes an undead monster from the combat.

3. Use Bubbles to Aid in Healing

Bubble is a priest spell that absorbs a certain amount of damage and prevents the person that the bubble has been cast on from being interrupted. This can help a DPS character who has gained the attention of a monster either lose it, or let a caster start using area of effect spells in the hope that the tide of the battle can be changed in the parties favor. Buffs such as the ones in the fortitude line will help characters stay alive longer and those give a character more time to heal his group mates.

Wrapping up the Priest Tips

Priests in World of Warcraft are a very group friendly class, but that does not mean they cannot solo. Like all casters, they are not as dependent on gear as some of the melee classes, but making sure the gear as as close to the character's level as possible ensures that the mana pool and mana regeneration rates will be what they should be for the level.

World of Warcraft Tips and Tricks

* Pressing Shift + B opens up all of your packs. Makes selling easier. You can also shift-click any bag in the toolbar to open/close them all. Or, Bind your bag opening key to Open all bags instead.

* Holding down Alt causes you to select yourself as the target for spells, buffs, etc. F1 does this as well. F2-F5 selects your fellow party members. If they have a pet, hitting their F key twice will select the pet.

* Be sure to log out inside of an Inn or major town to build up your rest bonus. This bonus is determined by how long you are in the rest area (captial cities count in their enterity) and caps at approximately 1.5 levels worth of xp doubling which takes about 2 weeks in a rest area to hit.
This time accrues whether you are logged in or not so ALWAYS log in an inn or capital city.

* Shift + Right click to auto loot kills, crafting nodes, chests, and any world object that can be manipulated.

* Shift + Left Click either posts an item into the chat window as a link if you have chat open, or it splits a stack of items. This can also be used to select how many of a non-stacked item you want to buy from a vendor.

*Clicking on a name in the chat window sends that person a tell.

*Shift + Clicking on a name in chat performs a /who

* With a teammate targetted, typing /assist will fight what they target. In the default configuration, F will select their target. If youre running a pet, F1-F1-F will select whatever your pet is aggrod on.

* Not so much at trick, but faction discounts apply to the flyers and trainers as well, so dont be so quick to throw away newbie quests that you forget to complete - they help out in the long run. Be aware that the reputation received from a quest drops off sharply when it goes grey, unless the quest is a high-profile one for that faction (i.e. Defias for Stormwind). Also, many quests give reputation bonuses in more than one faction; you see this a lot with Ironforge/Gnomeregan Exiles. Finally, if you hover over a quest-giving NPC, the game now tells you in the tooltiip which faction theyre aligned with.

* The command /random # # makes dice rolls between the two numbers specified (ex: /random 1 100 will roll randomly (1-100)). Its useful for quests and such, as I always use it to roll for chests or veins of ore, etc.

* Go Swimming There are often chests at the bottom of lakes aswell as mineral nodes that wont show up on radar until you are submerged. (the lake outside Loch Modan (sp) is Amazing for tier 1 and has 5 chest spawns that I have found so far)

* Increase the range of your Target nearest key. Go into your WTF folder and edit the Config.wtf file. Add the following line at the bottom:

SET TargetNearestDistance 40.000000″

* The Auction House will respond to you much quicker if you narrow your search range. If nothing else, use the level range boxes, and search by armor/weapon category. Also, using the text-string search box is the fastest way Ive found to find consumables.

* of the : These are paired stat bonuses based on the animal type, and they will always have the same two stats paired. If youre looking for stat buffing armor, and you know what stats you want, search Auction House for the following animals:

Bear: Strength, Stamina
Boar: Strength, Spirit
Eagle: Intellect, Stamina
Falcon: Intellect, Agility
Gorilla: Strength, Intellect
Monkey: Agility, Stamina
Owl: Intellect, Spirit
Tiger: Strength, Agility
Whale: Spirit, Stamina
Wolf: Agility, Spirit

* To make fast cash when youre really bored, farm -5/-6 humanoid creatures. They drop Linen/Wool/Silk, all of which sell very well in AH if you put low buyouts. They also drop more copper/silver than comparable beasts, demons, dragonkin, or elementals.

* Cooked food stacks to higher amounts than raw food. By training cooking, you can double a single slots worth of storage, and get more benefit.

*While on autorun, hold down the right mouse button to steer. Easier to make small course corrections this way.

*To learn more about your guild (How many actual players there are, for instance) Type /ginfo

* Dont want to use a mod to speed up that quest text? Use these scripts instead

Speedy Quest
/script QUEST_DESCRIPTION_GRADIENT_CPS = 600000
/script RegisterForSave("QUEST_DESCRIPTION_GRADIENT_CPS")
/script DEFAULT_CHAT_FRAME:AddMessage("Quests are now SUPER SPEEDY!");

Regular Quest
/script QUEST_DESCRIPTION_GRADIENT_CPS = 40
/script RegisterForSave("QUEST_DESCRIPTION_GRADIENT_CPS")
/script DEFAULT_CHAT_FRAME:AddMessage("Quests are now regular speed!");
